What is an AME Report?

An Agreed Medical-Legal Examination is a medical examination, medical record review and personal medical history performed by a physician who has been hired by both the attorney for the claimant and the insurance company to write a report in a disputed worker’s compensation case. The conclusions in the report are generally used to settle a case.
